Weightless Refection is as it sounds in the title; the shiny ball pinched between two fingers invites the viewer to look into the reflection of the bronze ball. The ball’s reflective nature mirrors its environment, showing viewers a distorted view of the space around them through a not-so-perfect bronze sphere. The imperfections of bronze casting are an aspect of the artwork that lends itself to its interpretation of reality. Though shiny, metal has moments of imperfection, making it all the more interesting to investigate the handmade elements of this sculpture.
