David’s Hands

Bronze with black patina.

There is a long-standing tradition of casting hands. Creative people such as poets and musicians had their hands replicated in metals throughout the centuries. In many ways, hand casting has continued as a tradition in the present day. Casting joined hands in plaster or by casting the delicate fingers of a baby, the expressive nature of hands never fails to fascinate and capture a beautiful element of the human body.
